“It’s A Tug Life!” is real life story of a chocolate lab named Tug that lives on Naples Island in Long Beach, CA with his beautiful mother, and author of this story, Laura Watkins Utterback. When Laura reached out to me and asked for my illustration skills to bring her baby boy’s story to life, she had no idea my passion project was painting dog portraits. This collaboration is a perfect example of stars aligning and the universe bringing people together to create something fun for the generations to come. It’s truly an adorable book filled with happy puppies and is currently #1 in the “International Best-Selling Dog Children’s Book” category on Amazon. I can confirm, my 2 year old nephew says it’s the greatest book he’s read in his life.
